Made to Measure FAQs
Q: What are the advantages of a Made to Measure suit?
A: The garment is made to your measurements, thereby ensuring a perfect fit. Beyond this, however, is the luxury of personalization. You can create a suit that is uniquely your own by selecting not only the fabric but also the linings, buttons, styling details and silhouette. Another big plus is convenience. You only need to undergo the measuring process once. When the fit of your suit has been perfected, your next suits can be produced with finished hems and sleeves eliminating the need for alterations.
Q: What brands do you offer in your Made to Measure program?
A: In addition to our own Holt Renfrew Private Label, we offer Armani Collezioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Canali and Tom Ford.
Q: How long does it take to make a suit?
A: Depending on the label you choose, it can take anywhere from seven working days up to a maximum of nine weeks when coming from Italy. On average, expect to wait five to six weeks for your suit from the date of order.
Q: Can I order anything else besides suits?
A: Yes. We also offer dress shirts, trousers, sport coats, tuxedos, vests and topcoats in our Made to Measure program.
Q: Does Made to Measure cost a fortune?
A: Generally expect to pay 10% to 15% more for a Made to Measure item than you would for a garment off the rack. It's a relatively small premium considering that the garment is not mass-produced but rather individually made.
Q: What if this turns out to be an expensive addiction?
A: It can. Once you have enjoyed the luxury of wearing a garment that has been tailored specifically for you it can be hard to go back to buying off the rack.
