ABOUT MONCLER
Founded by René Ramillon and André Vincent in the French village Monastier-de-Clermont near Grenoble, France, Moncler began manufacturing outdoor gear for the harshest European mountain climates in 1952. Their iconic quilted jackets were later recognized by French mountaineer Lionel Terray, and in 1954, became renowned in Italy and France for their warmth and protection on high-intensity mountain expeditions and summits. In 1968, the brand officially supplied the French downhill skiing team for the Grenoble Winter Olympics. Today, the French-Italian heritage label, which gets its abbreviated name from the Alpine village it was founded in, is led by creative director Remo Ruffini. Moncler is known for its covetable luxury performance outerwear and high-fashion sportswear, fit for both city dwellers and those who embrace après-ski. The main Moncler collection features distinguished lightweight winter coats and jackets, down puffers, parkas, and vests, as well as bold sweaters and ready-to-wear accessories, and the Moncler Grenoble collection is inspired by archival skiwear as an homage to the brand’s rich history. Moncler Genius consists of eight groundbreaking collections for men and women, created in collaboration with distinguished fashion-forward designers such as Pierpaolo Piccioli, Liya Kebede, Richard Quinn, Simone Rocha, Noir Kei Ninomiya, and more, and are inspired by fresh, new takes on the iconic Moncler down jacket. Last but not least, the Moncler Enfant collection imagines the adult product ranges as designed for children.
