Your bags all boast travel-inspired names. How does travel influence your designs and where are you off to next? Comme en témoigne le nom de vos sacs, les voyages sont une grande source d’inspiration pour vous. Comment influencent-ils vos créations et quelle est votre prochaine destination?

“I love to travel, especially anywhere near the ocean. I feel very connected to being near water; it makes me feel grounded and able to tap into the creative part of myself. Travel gives me the space to turn off in a way that I don’t in the city. I always pick up inspiration from my destination, or even the travel process itself.

My family and I will be spending time in the Hamptons to finish out the Summer. I love toting my Naghedi to the beach and the local farm stands and markets.” —SN « J’adore voyager, en particulier près de l’océan. “I try to be prepared for whatever the day brings—from school drop-offs, to work meetings, to seeing friends in the evening. I often won’t have time to change and need to dress in a way that moves seamlessly from place to place.” — SN « J’essaie de parer à toutes les éventualités de ma journée – entre déposer ma fille à l’école, les réunions professionnelles et les sorties entre amis le soir, je n’ai souvent pas le temps de me changer. Favourite place to find inspiration in NYC? Quel est votre endroit préféré pour trouver l’inspiration à New York?

“When I’m in the city and need a new perspective, I visit fabric and trim stores in the Garment District or people watch in the West Village. Bar Pisellino is a favourite spot for a coffee or a drink.” —SN « Lorsque je suis en ville et que j’ai beosin d’une nouvelle perspective, je fais les boutiques de tissus dans Garment District ou j’observe les gens dans West Village. Le Bar Pisellino est d’ailleurs un des mes endroits préférés pour prendre un bon café. » – S.N.

Which neighbourhood would you pick for a day of window shopping and people watching? Quel quartier choisirais-tu pour faire du lèche-vitrines et observer les gens?

“Early mornings in SoHo are special, when the streets are quiet, and the stores are first opening. La Mercerie is one of my favourite restaurants in the city, and I’ll be sure to browse the adjacent home store, Roman and Williams Guild.

The Seaport is another favourite area; I love going to the Tin Building and McNally Jackson Books, and taking in the beautiful views of the river and the Brooklyn Bridge.” « Tôt le matin, les rues du quartier SoHo sont calmes. La Mercerie est l’un de mes restaurants préférés de la ville, sans compter qu’il est adjacent au magasin d’accessoires pour la maison, Roman and Williams Guild., où je ne manquerai pas d’aller faire un tour.

J’aime aussi beaucoup Seaport où se trouvent Tin Building et McNally Jackson Books. La vue sur le détroit et le pont de Brooklyn y est imprenable. »

Which hotel would you recommend to visitors? Quel hôtel recommanderiez-vous aux visiteurs?

“I have a soft spot for The Greenwich Hotel because that’s where my husband and I got engaged. I also love Hôtel Barrière Fouquet’s in SoHo as a downtown option. To be closer to NoMad and Midtown, The New York EDITION right next to Madison Square Park.” —SN « J’ai un faible pour The Greenwich Hotel parce que c’est là où mon mari et moi nous sommes fiancés. J’adore aussi l’Hôtel Barrière Fouquet dans SoHo. C’est une excellente option au centre-ville. Sinon, plus près du quartier NoMad et du Midtown, je suggère The New York EDITION à proximité du Madison Square Park. » – S.N.
